Warranty/Repair
How do I know if the repair I need is covered under warranty? What do I do next?
Please review our warranty policy online at www.cordobaguitars.com/warranty. If you are still within 3 years from your purchase date, and it seems that the repair would be covered, we ask that you return to the store where the instrument was purchased and have them call us for a return authorization number. We do need to hear from the store where you purchased it, as this is the only way we can verify that it was purchased from an authorized Cordoba dealer. From there, you will need to send the guitar back to us for our technicians to examine. If the problem is deemed a manufacturer’s defect, we will repair or replace it at no charge, and send it back to you at no charge. The normal turnaround time for this process is around 4 weeks.
My guitar/ukulele is not under warranty, but I would like to send it into you for a repair anyway. What is an estimate for the cost?
We offer two types of repairs; a full repair ($160) and a touch-up repair ($60). The full repair includes removal of the bridge, sanding of surfaces, re-gluing, re-lacquering, and buffing. The touch-up repair includes re-gluing and buffing. If the repair you need does not fall into one of these categories, please contact us at info@cordobaguitars.com with a detailed description of the problem. Sending in some photographs always helps as well!
How can I upgrade to the Limited Lifetime Warranty?
We offer this upgrade when you purchase a HumiCase at the same time, or within 7 days, of purchasing your Cordoba guitar. This extends coverage of defective materials and workmanship to the life of the guitar. All you need to do is send us proof of purchase of your HumiCase when you submit your warranty registration. If your guitar comes with a HumiCase, you will automatically receive this. Please note that this does not extend to Ramirez Guitars; they offer a 1 year warranty with no additional upgrades.
How can I find an Authorized Repair Center in my area?
We are currently in the process of expanding the number of Cordoba Authorized Repair centers. Please email info@cordobaguitars.com with your city and state, and we will get back to you ASAP.
Replacement Parts
How do I get replacement parts for my instrument?
If you need tuning machines, we ask that you send in photographs detailing the problem, as well as the date and place you purchased your instrument. If the electronics on your guitar are malfunctioning, please return to the dealer you purchased your instrument from, and have them give us a call. This is only to insure that you are within your window for warranty service. We also sell replacement tuning machines online at our Webstore. Please note that depending on the age of your instrument, specific parts that you request may or may not be available.
What is the optimal humidity level for my Cordoba guitar?
We recommend that you keep your guitar within a temperature range of 60 F to 85 F, and a relative humidity of 45% to 65%. Please see our section on How to Care for Your Guitar here.
Cordoba Dealers & Buying a Cordoba Instrument
Can I purchase a guitar directly from you?
Unfortunately, we do not sell directly to customers at this time. We can put you in contact with your closest dealer so that you can play the guitar before purchasing. Please visit www.cordobaguitars.com/dealers to find the dealer nearest you.
Which dealer in my area has the instrument I’m looking for in stock?
As dealer inventory constantly changes, it is difficult for us to determine whether or not a specific dealer has a particular item in their store. You can visit www.cordobaguitars.com/dealers to find your local dealer, and contact them for more information regarding the model you’re looking for.
How can I find out how much a certain model costs?
As we do not sell directly to customers, please contact your nearest Cordoba dealer for pricing and availability information.
I do not live in the United States. How can I get a Cordoba guitar?
A list of our international distributors is available online at www.cordobaguitars.com/dealers. Although you may not see a dealer in your particular area or country, many of these dealers distribute our products to other music stores. We recommend that you contact the nearest dealer to see if they can help you. If you are unable to find what you are looking for, we can also refer you to Guitar Salon, International (www.guitarsalon.com). They ship internationally and carry most of our products. Feel free to contact us at info@cordobaguitars.com if you are still unable to locate a dealer, or if the dealer does not have the model you’d like.
How can I become an authorized Cordoba dealer?
Please send your contact information along with your company’s website (if you have one) to info@cordobaguitars.com and the Regional Sales Manager for your area will contact you as soon as possible.
Cordoba Specs & Country of Origin
What models are available in left-handed versions?
For the remainder of 2011, we have discontinued production of all but two left-handed models. We will have GK Studios and GK Studio Negras available in left-handed versions around Summer 2012. However, we may still have a few models in stock that came in before production was halted. Please contact your local Cordoba dealer to find out what models may still be available. In the future, we do intend to offer additional left-handed models.
With the exception of the España and Loriente series, which are handmade in Valenica, Spain, and Barcelona, Spain respectively, Cordoba Guitars and Ukuleles are handmade in China.
Where is the serial number on my guitar?
Your serial number will be located inside the soundhole, up towards the headstock. Please note that the following models are not serialized: CP110, C3M, C3M Cadete, Cadete, Dolce, C5, C5-CE, C5-CET, the La Playa Traveler and Ukulele, and all ukuleles except for the 25 series.
What strings are on my guitar? What string tension do you recommend?
You can find out what strings come with your guitar by visiting your model’s specific page on our website. Under the Full Specs category, the strings and their tensions will be listed. The bridges of our guitars are built to withstand normal or hard tension strings. We do not recommend using extra hard tension, and we definitely do not recommend putting steel strings on a nylon string guitar.

Which of your guitars have truss rods in the neck?
All of them! The Iberia series guitars have been built with truss rods since 2007, and the Fusion, Espana, and Loriente series have been built with them since 2010.
Where can I find a manual for the electronics on my guitar?

I want to install a strap on my guitar. Where should I install the strap pegs?
Here is a photo to help illustrate where we recommend installing strap pegs. We encourage you to take your guitar to a professional for this installation, as it is possible that you could damage your guitar if this is not done properly.

We ship using USPS. At the moment, this is the only shipping method that we offer.
How do you handle my private information collected through the Cordoba webstore?
We do not share nor sell information collected through our webstore.
